Daily Mail: Last remaining courthouse for sale at £14.5M

Prisoners were held in chains and tried within its walls before being sent to the waiting prison ships docked on the banks of the River Thames to be transported to the colonies. But an 18th century courthouse lying in the heart of old Chelsea, tucked away behind Cheyne Walk, is no longer a place fit for petty criminals.Today the historic building – the only surviving local courthouse-jail in the capital – is on the market, converted into a stunning home, and is expected to fetch more than £14.5million.
